July 12, 2021 through July 29, 2021

  • Pond Street • Franklin, MA 02038 • 508-528-5400

This year, Tri-County is offering in-person summer school. Students will work with certified content teachers to learn and practice content and skills. Teachers will utilize a variety of platforms, including but not limited to: APEX, itslearning, Edulastic, Delta Math and other teacher created modules.  Teachers will assist students and will provide additional materials and instruction on an individual, as-needed basis.

Classes will run 8:00am – 10:00am, 10:00am – 12:00pm, and 12:20pm – 2:20pm. Classes begin Monday, July 12 and run Monday through Thursday for three weeks, ending July 29. This program will include lunch for students who stay for all three sessions. Transportation will be provided by Tri-County. The busses will arrive in time for the 8 am class and leave after session II at 12:00 pm and after session III at 2:20pm. Students who have only one session are encouraged to continue working or secure a ride home at 10:00 am. Bus routes will be posted on the Tri-County website during the first week in July. There will be a fee for students to attend this summer program.

Each session will run for two hours each day. This will total twenty-four hours of in-person instruction with an additional six hours of students doing work on their own, outside of class, to get to the thirty required hours. Students must complete 30 hours to pass each course and must earn a minimum grade of 70% to pass.

All students should report to the cafeteria between 7:50am – 8:00am for Session I on Monday, July 12. Students arriving for Session II should report to the cafeteria by 10:00 am on the first day. Classrooms, expectations, and guidelines will be reviewed with students in the cafeteria on the first day. All Tri-County rules are in effect during summer school. Please come with a notebook, and either a pen or pencil. Chromebooks will be distributed on the first day.

Students will be assigned a session based on the number of courses they need to take. If a student has one or two courses to make-up, they must attend sessions I and II. Sessions III is only for students who fail three courses. The “Get Back on Track” program is for students who fail one, two, or three core academic classes. ob If you have any questions, please call Melissa Beckmann at 508-528-5400 X258.
