Tri-County Summer School 2019

July 8, 2019 through July 25, 2019
Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School
147 Pond Street • Franklin, MA 02038 • 508-528-5400

This year, Tri-County will be utilizing the Apex tutorial program during summer school. This program will allow students to complete computerized learning modules at their own pace. The modules are adaptive and students will be given additional information based on their need to learn prior topics. This need is determined by pretest scores in each unit. The module will provide many opportunities to learn and practice content and skills. Student learning results will be measured by a post test in each topic. Teachers will also assist students and will provide additional materials and instruction on an individual, as-needed basis.

Classes will run 8:00 – 10:30 am or 10:30 – 1:00 pm. Classes begin Monday, July 8 and run Monday through Thursday for three weeks, ending July 25. Students must complete 30 hours at Tri-County, per class and may not make-up more than two classes during summer school. Transportation will be provided by Tri-County. The buses will arrive in time for the 8 am class and leave after the 1 pm class is over. There will be no buses in- between sessions. Students who have only one session are encouraged to continue working or secure a ride home at 10:30 am. Students who stay for both sessions are encouraged to bring a snack/lunch. Bus routes will be posted on the Tri-County website during the first week in July.

All students should report to the cafeteria upon arrival by 8:00 am for Session I on the Monday, July 8. Students arriving for Session II should report to the cafeteria by 10:30 am on the first day. Classrooms, expectations, and guidelines will be reviewed with students in the cafeteria on the first day. All Tri-County rules are in effect during summer school. Please come with a notebook and either a pen or pencil. All students are required to bring headphones/earbuds for use with the video tutorials.
