🎨✨Tri-County Carpentry students had a fantastic time teaming up with local artist Amy Adams for an incredible community project with Franklin Elementary School! 🐟✨
Mrs. Adams reached out to our students to create wooden fish for the elementary students to paint and display at the Franklin Community Sculpture Park. Using their CAD/CAM skills and the CNC router, our students designed and crafted a variety of fish shapes from pine boards. After some meticulous sanding, the school of fish was ready to swim over to Mrs. Adams. 🐠🎨
Mrs. Adams, a passionate artist dedicated to her community, has been collaborating with Franklin Elementary students for years. This project was a wonderful opportunity to bring people together and inspire creativity.

Our talented Carpentry and Metal Fabrication students have refurbished the iconic Pondville Conservation sign for the town of Norfolk! 🛠️✨
Carpentry students meticulously sanded the sign, bringing back its original charm, while our Metal Fabrication students crafted a brand-new steel frame to ensure its durability for years to come. The result? A beautifully restored sign that stands as a testament to their hard work and craftsmanship. 🌲🔨

Alumni All Star Jenna Barber! Jenna graduated in 2021 from the Health Careers program!
She is currently working on her BS in Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology from Northeastern University, and will graduate this May. She will then continue on to receive her MS in Applied Behavior Analysis from Northeastern University next May (2026).
She is a behavioral therapist at APEX Behavioral Consulting. Jenna’s favorite high school memory was winning cheerleading states her junior year (2019). This was TC’s first state title, and it was so rewarding to receive a win against division 1 schools as a vocational school.
Her co-op experiences in high school were incredibly beneficial in orienting her career in service work. She learned so much about the actual field of healthcare and childhood development through those jobs, which greatly influenced her career path of behavioral sciences.
Participating in SkillsUSA throughout high school was vastly influential to Jenna’s career. Attending conferences, applying professionalism to her field, and accruing leadership experience has helped her so much as she continues her career as a behavior analyst. She learned indispensable skills about the workforce that she still employs today! Jenna says she is so grateful for Mrs. DePasquale, Mr. Chauvin, and Mr. Garland for supervising and supporting her throughout her time as an officer.
Jenna says the skills and knowledge she learned in Health Careers has been invaluable to her career. First experiencing being a service provider can be stressful, but having Mrs. Dodakian, Ms. Guanci, and Mrs. Geikie as mentors and supporters gave her so much confidence in the field. Confidence is crucial to working in a service career, and she is so grateful to have acquired that skill in high school.
Jenna’s advice to current high school students: “Get involved in everything you possibly can. There are so many opportunities at Tri-County to participate in leadership clubs, academic clubs, and shop clubs that can be so valuable in furthering your education and learning from the best in your field. Use your shop teachers as resources and make connections!”

As part of their unit on the First Amendment Protections and Limitations on the Freedom of Speech, LPS sophomores attended a trip to the LMC to learn about books that have been banned or challenged at some point in time in some school districts. 🚫They learned a lot about the concept of censorship, freedom of speech, and the value of the marketplace of ideas. Mr. Dagan proudly maintains a large collection of books that span many ideologies and allows students to pursue any of their interests through books and media.📚

Alumni All Star Stephen April! Stephen is a 2019 graduate of the Computer Information Systems program.
After high school he went on to pursue Cyber Threat & Defense at Johnson & Wales University. He later transferred to CCRI still pursuing Cyber Security but stopped attending when he obtained a full time IT position at an electrical company.
Stephen currently works at Sasaki in Boston and is a Desktop Support Specialist.
One of his favorite memories from high school was the first time he discovered CyberPatriot, during the CIS exploratory class. He remembers a day when a bunch of students gathered on Mr. C’s side of the shop with binders filled with notes from past years. Curiously, he asked what they were preparing for, and they told him all about this cybersecurity competition they participated in every year. That conversation sparked his interest in both the class and the world of cybersecurity, and he knew that he wanted to be a part of it and compete on the team.
His high school experience influenced his career path significantly. Without the hands-on experiences he had during his time in the shop, Stephen says he feels like he would not have known what career path he wanted to take come senior year. Many things he does daily in his job today were taught to him in high school.
One activity that had a significant impact on him in high school was playing on the lacrosse team. It was a way for him to have fun, create lifelong memories with teammates, and he loved that he had the opportunity to play on the same team as his brother!
Stephen says that the skills he learned from his time at Tri-County and from his shop teachers, Mrs. Z and Mr. C, stay with him every day. Every day at work, he relies on something he learned in the shop to help solve a computer issue. Now, being part of the Cybersecurity team, he is able to apply both his shop experience and the skills he gained from CyberPatriot to take things to the next level. Without that solid foundation in this field, he believes he wouldn't be where he is today!
Stephen’s advice to current high school students: “Be yourself and do things that bring you joy.”
