Meet Mikayla — a proud graduate of our Computer Information Systems program whose vocational education continues to shape her life in meaningful ways.
Before being diagnosed with heart failure, Mikayla worked in the front office of a body shop/collision center, where her strong tech background helped her excel in every role she took on. Today, she channels that same dedication into advocating for patients with heart failure, using her creativity to make a difference — she even crocheted a replica of her LVAD device to help explain how it works and to show children what it is in a way that’s easier to understand.
💬 Her favorite high school memory?
Representing our school at SkillsUSA — a chance to express herself and showcase everything she learned in shop.
💬 Her advice for current students:
“Engage in hands‑on learning, build strong connections with instructors and peers, manage your time well, and always aim higher than the minimum. Treat school like a workplace and seek certifications that give you an edge.”
Mikayla’s story reminds us that the skills we learn in vocational education go far beyond the classroom — they empower us to innovate, advocate, and inspire others.
🌟 Thank you, Mikayla, for sharing your story and representing what it means to be an All‑Star

Bill Brock, co-owner of United Plumbing and Gas (UPG), is a 1985 Tri-County plumbing graduate. He founded UPG in 2016, along with his business partner Bill DiRienzo.
United Plumbing & Gas has proudly served the community for the past 10 years, building a reputation for dependable, high-quality workmanship in both residential and commercial plumbing and gas services. Over the years, the company has not only focused on delivering strong results for its clients, but also, lucky for us, on investing in the future of the trade. UPG has invested in our students. Many Tri-County students have worked at UPG, including three current Co-op students. With over 40 years in the trade, Bill provides co-op experiences and mentorship that help students develop practical skills. He reinforces the strong work ethic taught by our vocational teachers, especially the importance of showing up ready to work and learn.
Bill Brock is an example of a Tri-County graduate who gives back to vocational education with his commitment to our Cooperative Education program. Congratulations Bill Brock and United Plumbing & Gas!✨

Last night wasn’t just about watching the sun go down — it was about watching a whole chapter of your lives glow one last time. Standing there with the people who’ve been part of every laugh, every late-night cram session, every win, every loss… it felt like the perfect way to say goodbye.
To the Class of 2026: you made it. You created memories that will outlast every sunset. This is your farewell, but it’s not an ending — it’s the moment before everything begins.
Here’s to the friendships that shaped you and the futures waiting just beyond the horizon.

Our Grade 11 Early Education students recently partnered with students from Health Careers and Cosmetology to create meaningful, developmentally appropriate field trip experiences right here within our vocational school for the children in our preschool program.
Through hands-on planning and teamwork, students combined their career knowledge to design engaging experiences that introduced preschoolers to caring professions, wellness, creativity, communication, and community connections in ways that matched their developmental needs.
These experiences remind us of something important: Early education is where ALL careers begin.
Every future nurse, teacher, hairstylist, electrician, chef, engineer, and business owner first learned through play, exploration, relationships, and discovery in early childhood. Preschool classrooms build the foundation for communication, confidence, problem-solving, social skills, and curiosity that students carry into every future career pathway.💙💛
We are proud to see our students collaborating across programs while recognizing the vital role early childhood education plays in shaping future success.

Our shop just received an incredible donation from Mass Bay Community College — three training vehicles that will take our hands‑on learning to the next level.
We are now the proud owners of a:
• 2013 Chevy Malibu
• 2014 Chevy Silverado
• 2014 Cadillac CTS‑V
These vehicles will give our students real‑world experience with modern systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures. We’re grateful for this partnership and excited for the opportunities it brings to our future technicians!
