This past Saturday, Science Teacher Jennifer Markham brought three of our amazing seniors to the Women of Science Scholarship Competition at Bedford High School:
✨ Loren Brundett
✨ Mackenzy (Kenzy) Quigley
✨ Victoria Wilson
This year’s theme — “Wings of Innovation: Lifting Science Higher from Ground to Atmosphere” — challenged students to think big and think boldly. They took on a flight‑based mystery engineering challenge, science trivia, and round‑robin events covering everything from biology and chemistry to astronomy, meteorology, engineering, environmental science, and more.
Our TC students not only competed with enthusiasm, they also enjoyed connecting with women working in science careers during a special lunch event.
We’re incredibly proud of these students for stepping outside their comfort zones and representing our school with curiosity, courage, and heart. 💛💙

He used 1/4” x 2” flat bar for the body and 1.5” x 1.5” angle iron for the base. The rolled flat bar gave it that smooth, rounded look he was going for — not an easy task, but he nailed it.
Such a clean, advanced build! This is Career & Technical Education!

Our 10th grade class took an important step toward becoming smarter, safer digital citizens today. They attended a powerful presentation led by Richard Guerry, author of multiple cyber‑safety books and a featured speaker at national and international conferences.
Through real‑world examples and eye‑opening insights, students learned how to navigate the online world responsibly, protect their digital footprint, and make thoughtful choices in an increasingly connected world.
Empowering our students with knowledge that keeps them safe — on and offline. 🌐✨

Yesterday our Legal & Protective Services 9th graders stepped into the courtroom for their very first mock trial — held using the beautiful courtroom furniture crafted by our talented Carpentry students!
The case? The state alleged Breaking & Entering, Larceny, and Destruction of Personal Property. Both the prosecution and defense teams worked tirelessly to interpret evidence, craft strong arguments, and present their cases with confidence.
After thoughtful deliberation, the jury delivered a split verdict — a powerful learning moment for everyone involved.
Hands‑on learning at its best. Proud of these future legal minds and the collaboration that made this experience possible! 🏛️📚

Our students had the chance to dive into early U.S. history through the Traveling Trunk Program, which brings reproduction artifacts, clothing, and hands‑on materials right into the classroom. By exploring these items, students get to feel history rather than just read about it — and this week, they stepped into the world of the Civil War. From clothing to everyday objects, each artifact helped spark curiosity and deeper understanding.
Learning becomes so much more powerful when you can hold history in your hands.

Students from our Early Education and Medical Assisting programs teamed up to create a magical, hands‑on experience for the preschoolers at the Tri-County Children’s Center.
The children brought their “ill” or “injured” stuffed animals to our student‑run Hug and Heal Clinic, where they acted as the caregivers while learning what a medical checkup looks like from the other side. This playful twist helped them interact with medical professionals in a comforting, empowering way.
It was an incredible collaboration — every stuffie left with a bandage, a medical report, and a whole lot of love. 💗🩺🐻

On Thursday, March 19th, our 9th and 11th graders hit the road for an unforgettable field trip, starting at Porsche of Westwood and then heading over to Ferrari of New England. From world‑class engineering to iconic design, our students got an up‑close look at the craftsmanship and innovation that drive the automotive industry forward.
A huge thank you to Sean McGuire for making this experience possible through his connections and dedication. Opportunities like this inspire our students and fuel their passion for the field.
🔧✨ Proud of our future technicians and the curiosity they bring to every learning moment.

On Friday, our Cosmetology shop visited our co‑op students at their job placements — and it was amazing to see them in action. From working with clients to building their professional confidence, our students are truly shining out in the field.
What made the visit even more special was seeing that many of them are working alongside former graduates of our Cosmetology programs — both secondary and post‑secondary. It’s inspiring to watch our alumni support the next generation and show what’s possible after graduation.
Our co‑op students shared their experiences, offered advice, and gave our current students a real look at what it’s like to work in a professional salon environment. Such an awesome day of learning, connection, and future‑focused inspiration. 💙✂️
