Today's Alumni All-Star is TJ Dalzell! Computer Information Systems Class of 2014!
TJ graduated from Champlain College in 2018 with a degree in Computer and Digital Forensics. He is currently a Principal Consultant, Incident Response with CrowdStrike. His favorite memory from high school was when the hockey team made the playoffs (for the first time at Tri-County). It was a goal the team had worked towards for a few years, and a really great accomplishment for them! TJ is still good friends with the guys from the team today, and talks with them regularly. What a great memory to cap off an awesome season! Prior to entering CIS he had no idea what he wanted to pursue as a career - After graduating from Tri-County he decided to attend school for a degree in Computer and Digital Forensics. Using what he learned in the CIS shop, TJ was able to test out of a few classes in college, which freed him up to pursue additional classes in topics he was interested in such as programming and security. The most impactful project for TJ was the Senior Project. He spent weeks researching a specific topic and developing a demo / presentation on it, and since students were able to choose their topics he focused on cybersecurity. The research and development for the senior project cemented his decision to pursue CyberSecurity as a career. The background and experience he gained from attending Tri-County and working co-op jobs helped jump start his career, as he had more real-world experience than many of his peers by the time he graduated college. TJ's advice: "Get more involved in school activities, either through sports teams or clubs at the school - I met many people that I'm still friends with through things like the hockey team or the robotics club. In addition to getting involved in sports and clubs, I'd say take advantage of internships / co-op opportunities. I worked a few jobs in high school that I really disliked, but eventually found positions and a career path that interested me, and the trial and error of that helped me determine what kinds of jobs I would look for in the future!"

✨ A huge Thanks from Tri-County! ✨
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended our Open House and showed unwavering support for our school community!
To our wonderful dedicated faculty and staff, amazing student volunteers and community members – THANK YOU! 🌟 Your continued involvement and encouragement inspire us to strive for excellence every day.

Mr. Barstow's 10th grade carpentry students are crafting something pretty special in their vocational program: Adirondack chairs. These students aren't just getting hands-on with hammers and saws—they’re building a blend of tradition and skill. The Adirondack chair, known for its classic design, has always been a symbol of leisure and craftsmanship. By the end of the project, each student walks away with more than just a finished chair; they leave with pride and a tangible piece of their own hard work. It's hands-on learning, the way it should be. 📏🛠️#WorkHardTodayCounts #SaveTheTrades

Alumni All Star - David Wallace - Electrical Class of 1989! David Wallace is a proud member of the Electrical class of 1989. He attended Bridgewater State College and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. David is currently a Computer & Networking Technology instructor at Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School in Taunton, where he has been teaching for 11 years. Before this, he worked in the CIS program at Tri-County, where he and Kim Zogalis developed a remarkable program that set many students on paths to achieve incredible things.
One of his favorite memories is the time spent with friends—moments like Jr. Prom and adventures afterward down the Cape, Senior Skip Day at Horseneck Beach, and even a trip to Russia over April vacation. These friendships have lasted a lifetime and continue to bring a lot of joy. His high school experience greatly influenced his career choice in education, thanks to the guidance and example of shop teachers, Mr. Palmaeri, Mr. Bentley, and Mr. Halstead.
Participating in sports had a huge impact on David. Mrs. DeLuca, his physical education teacher, encouraged him to consider coaching. Since then, he has coached high school football for 31 years, high school basketball for 11 years (including winning the school’s only Boys’ League title), and even contributed to a State Baseball Title and multiple Super 8 Tournament appearances. David is now a volunteer assistant for the Bridgewater State University Men’s Basketball program, and enjoys watching his son play football and basketball and coaching his travel baseball team, Riptide.
The skills and knowledge gained from his vocational education program have been foundational to his success over the past 24 years as an educator. Through hands-on training, he developed a deep understanding of practical applications, problem-solving, and industry standards—qualities that he now passes on to his students in computer networking and PC repair. This background enables him to provide real-world insights and relevant skills, making learning both engaging and impactful. Beyond technical expertise, David says vocational education instilled in him a passion for growth and perseverance, values he strives to cultivate in his students. He is committed to encouraging young people to be their best, equipping them not only with technical skills but also with the confidence and resilience needed to succeed in their own paths.
David’s advice to current students: “Get involved—whether it’s a club, a sport, or any activity that interests you. The memories you create will last a lifetime, so make the most of every opportunity. You have the power to shape your own experiences and leave a lasting impact.”
