Tri-County Preschool Registration!
Registration and Open House for the Tri-County Children’s Center preschool program for 2025– 2026 will begin on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Applications can be found on the preschool’s website, TCChildrensCenter.com.
Appointments to view the preschool will be available by pre-registration using this link Open House will be held on Thursday, February 6 from 9:15-9:45 or from 10:15-10:45 a.m. at the Tri-County Regional High School in Franklin at 147 Pond Street. Parents will be able to view the laboratory preschool while children engage in developmentally appropriate activities. Attendees must pre-register and bring a valid picture ID to enter our building. For more information, please visit TCChildrensCenter.com.
Placement is limited to residents of the 11 towns within the Tri-County District, Franklin, Medfield, Medway, Millis, Norfolk, North Attleboro, Plainville, Seekonk, Sherborn, Walpole and Wrentham. Admission is decided through a lottery system. Registration will be made open to other towns if spaces are not filled by residents within the district.
The random drawing to determine which of the children registered will be enrolled will take place on Tuesday, March 6, 2025. Those names not selected in the drawing are placed on a waiting list.
Birth certificates for children being registered must accompany all registration forms. Registration is limited to those children who are at least age 3 years by September 15, 2025 for the three-day program. A $25.00 non-refundable registration fee is due at registration time. Enrollment is limited to two years or part of two years for the preschool program, as long as the child is age eligible.
Preschool sessions are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:20 to 11:20 a.m. for the three-day program. Tuition is $45* per week.. Class size is limited to 24 children.
Three teachers in the Tri-County Early Education Program supervise the preschool program, and are assisted by high school students in the Early Education Major.

Alumni All-Star Emily Pion! Emily is a 2019 graduate of the Dental Assisting Program!
After high school she enrolled in the Community College of Rhode Island’s Dental Hygiene program and graduated in 2023 with her Associates in Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in dental hygiene with a concentration in public health at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
She currently works as a full time Registered Dental Hygienist at Milford Dental Group.
Emily’s favorite memory from high school was playing on the girls’ varsity soccer team. She loved being part of this team and playing the sport she loved throughout her four years at Tri-County. Her experiences in the dental assisting shop largely influenced her career choice and decision to pursue her master’s degree. She loved learning about all aspects of the dental field and knew she wanted to further her career in this field. Her shop teachers, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Moran, were some of the greatest influences in her decisions to further her career.
One of the most impactful experiences Emily had in high school was the opportunity to participate in the Co-op program, where she could gain real-world work experience before graduating. This experience led to her job as a dental assistant, which she continues while pursuing her degree in dental hygiene. Her time as a dental assistant was invaluable, equipping her with essential skills that not only helped her succeed in college but continue to benefit her in her current role as a dental hygienist.
The skills and knowledge she gained through her vocational education continue to play a vital role in her success every day. When she entered the dental hygiene program in college, Emily says her experience as a dental assistant gave her a strong foundation, allowing her to build on what she already knew. Even now, in her current role as a dental hygienist, she regularly applies skills she learned in high school, which not only contribute to her success but also make her a valuable asset to her team and office.
Emily’s advice to students: “I would tell every student at Tri-County to enjoy these four years as much as they can and take advantage of every opportunity! Without the opportunities I had at Tri-County I’m not sure if I would have pursued the career that I am so passionate about now!”

Tyler Bingham is a graduate of the Computer Information Systems program class of 2016! Since graduating from Tri-County, he has gone on to receive three degrees: Bachelor of Arts in English from Niagara University (’20) where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, a Master of Letters in Interdisciplinary with Distinction from the University of Strathclyde (’21), and a Master of Science in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from Canisius University (’23). He is the Assistant Director for Recruitment and Advisement at the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS). He is also an adjunct lecturer at the university level, teaching English 110 at Niagara University.
His favorite memory from TC was his participation in the CyberPatriot competitions. It stands out because he remembers having fun spending time with friends who also participated and feeling honored to have the opportunity to represent the school among some of the most talented students in the state. Tyler says it was also tremendously impactful in that he wasn’t as successful as he would’ve liked to be, and he remembers that being motivation to continue to work hard as a student. It was valuable to learn that even if you’re passionate about something, you’re not always going to succeed and that’s a normal and healthy part of your growth and development as a person. Tyler believes that Tri-County better prepared him for college and the world of work than any other place could have. Even beyond the practical experience of co-op, the vocational school calendar taught the values of time management, project management, and self-advocacy. Whether it was managing homework during shop week, or speaking up to take advantage of opportunities that came along to get closer to the material he was learning in CIS or his academic classes, Tri-County was an exceptional model for what college would be like. He continues to use the skills he acquired in CIS every single day, particularly now as he spends a significant amount of his time doing backend support for his current employer’s application software. Tyler was grateful he participated in Drama Club. Learning to get comfortable on stage with his peers, despite a natural aversion to public speaking, better prepared him for the expectations both in further schooling and in the professional world to be able to present to audiences. He is also fortunate to have been able to deploy the skills he learned from drama club at a national advising conference. Tyler says he truly uses his CIS experience every single day. Although he wears a lot of hats in his current role, one of the main pieces of his pie is working with an SQL database called Slate. He is grateful to have a basis in software like Slate from his time in CIS as it has been a direct factor in my recent promotion to Assistant Director. Beyond that, a principle he learned in CIS is integration. Something that was ingrained in himself and his peers was that it was important for a CIS professional to have a holistic understanding of computers and networks. Even if you preferred web design or programming, it was important to know and care about hardware and networking, as ultimately, for end users, their experience comes from the integration of all elements at play. He’s taken this idea to heart and carried it with him from opportunity to opportunity. One of the first things he does, whenever he starts something new, tech related or not, is to try to learn how each element of his environment contributes to the task at-hand, even if his task is just a small piece. He really thinks it helps to set his work apart. Tyler’s advice to current students: “Take advantage of opportunities outside of your education! Whether it’s doing that extra project in shop or participating in clubs or athletics, go beyond what TC requires of you. Although I think my Tri-County education was excellent, getting involved in clubs, participating in Skills, and picking up extra projects here and there gave me the confidence to really take advantage of everything college had to offer me.”

Yesterday marked the second SkillsUSA SmartStart conference! Our officer team participated in running a booth to educate freshmen state-wide on the multiple competitions that SkillsUSA has to offer for them. Along with the facilitators who joined in on making the conference a positive experience, multiple Tri-County freshmen participated in the event. Our facilitator team (Ava Membreno, Nourhane Elouannasse, Aidan Forrester and Jemma Ruiz) were recognized for their great volunteer efforts, and Nylanie Moore won the "Rising Star" award for freshmen. Congradulations to everyone for a successful conference! You can follow our SkillsUSA team on instagram: @tricounty_skillsusa
