Yesterday our Legal & Protective Services 9th graders stepped into the courtroom for their very first mock trial — held using the beautiful courtroom furniture crafted by our talented Carpentry students!
The case? The state alleged Breaking & Entering, Larceny, and Destruction of Personal Property. Both the prosecution and defense teams worked tirelessly to interpret evidence, craft strong arguments, and present their cases with confidence.
After thoughtful deliberation, the jury delivered a split verdict — a powerful learning moment for everyone involved.
Hands‑on learning at its best. Proud of these future legal minds and the collaboration that made this experience possible! 🏛️📚

Our students had the chance to dive into early U.S. history through the Traveling Trunk Program, which brings reproduction artifacts, clothing, and hands‑on materials right into the classroom. By exploring these items, students get to feel history rather than just read about it — and this week, they stepped into the world of the Civil War. From clothing to everyday objects, each artifact helped spark curiosity and deeper understanding.
Learning becomes so much more powerful when you can hold history in your hands.

Students from our Early Education and Medical Assisting programs teamed up to create a magical, hands‑on experience for the preschoolers at the Tri-County Children’s Center.
The children brought their “ill” or “injured” stuffed animals to our student‑run Hug and Heal Clinic, where they acted as the caregivers while learning what a medical checkup looks like from the other side. This playful twist helped them interact with medical professionals in a comforting, empowering way.
It was an incredible collaboration — every stuffie left with a bandage, a medical report, and a whole lot of love. 💗🩺🐻

On Friday, our Cosmetology shop visited our co‑op students at their job placements — and it was amazing to see them in action. From working with clients to building their professional confidence, our students are truly shining out in the field.
What made the visit even more special was seeing that many of them are working alongside former graduates of our Cosmetology programs — both secondary and post‑secondary. It’s inspiring to watch our alumni support the next generation and show what’s possible after graduation.
Our co‑op students shared their experiences, offered advice, and gave our current students a real look at what it’s like to work in a professional salon environment. Such an awesome day of learning, connection, and future‑focused inspiration. 💙✂️

Today, our 9th graders in the LPS program visited the Wrentham District Court to observe real courtroom proceedings. Students watched arraignments, bail decisions, and restraining order hearings — gaining a firsthand look at how our justice system works.
We are incredibly grateful for the empathy, professionalism, and integrity shown by the judges, court officers, and staff at Wrentham District Court. Their continued support helps bring meaningful, real‑world learning experiences to our LPS students.

Our fields are coming alive again, and we can’t wait to cheer on all of our athletes as the new season begins.
Before we jump into the action, here’s a little flashback…
The Tri‑County baseball & Spring Track teams from 1980 — the same year our school celebrated its first-ever graduating class. Tri‑County was brand‑new at the time, and not many sports teams had been established yet. A big moment in our history and the start of so many traditions that continue today.
Here’s to new seasons, new memories, and carrying on the legacy that started over 40 years ago. 💙💛

💬 Favorite High School Memory
Jaylene’s standout memory is her SkillsUSA journey. She was part of a team that earned Silver at Nationals, and she still proudly displays the medal on the wall behind her desk.
🎓 How Tri‑County Shaped Her Path
Jaylene credits Tri‑County with building the strong work ethic that carried her through college, the engineering field, and now into education. She learned early on that she might not know everything right away — but she did know how to use her resources and get the job done.
🔧 A Project That Made an Impact
Her Senior Project was her first major research experience and prepared her for the much larger capstone she completed in college.
🌱 Advice for Today’s Students
“Do not be afraid to make mistakes. Personal growth happens when you have the courage to stand back up.”
🛠️ Skills That Still Matter Today
Jaylene feels incredibly fortunate to have had two vocational instructors who taught her not just technical skills, but the soft skills needed to truly succeed. They gave her space to make mistakes, learn, and try again — something she’s deeply grateful for as she helps shape the next generation of technical students.

The LPS juniors attended the arguments before a panel of Justices of the Massachusetts Court of Appeals on Wednesday. The hearing was being held at the UMass School of Law and students were also given a tour of that school and Law Library. The students studied the case at length in the weeks leading up to the field trip. It involved a hit and run vehicular homicide in Duxbury, MA from 2019. There were two questions on appeal about whether the days-later search warrant for the vehicle included a purse contained within it; and whether the lower court impermissibly included the eyewitness identification of a person who was nearly run off the road by the same driver earlier in the day.⚖️📚✨
